Dellums meets with Obama during U.S. Conference of Mayors As part of the 78th Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums and various mayors from across the nation met with President Barack Obama and his economic advisory team to make the case for their city’s respective “metro agendas” as well as the need for stronger federal/city partnerships.
“It’s critical to continue our efforts to ensure that Oakland is at the front of the line for federal resources,” said Dellums. “With this partnership, we have the opportunity to build upon existing innovations in Oakland, leverage additional resources and further develop Oakland as a model city.” |
