Tenth annual Oakland Holiday Parade draws thousands Over 100,000 spectators gathered to watch the Oakland Holiday Parade — “America’s Children’s Parade” — on Saturday.
The parade, which started at 11th Street and Broadway and moved up 20th Street to Harrison Street, featured giant helium balloons, cartoon and storybook characters, marching bands, floats and Santa Claus. PBS TV star “Sid the Science Kid” served as the grand marshal. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the holiday parade. |
