‘Remember Them: Champions for Humanity’ project develops high school curriculum There’s a saying that “those who forget their history are doomed to repeat it.” Supporters of the Remember Them: Champions for Humanity project are creating teaching curriculum for high school students to help them never forget their history.
Mario Chiodo “(People) dance around the cruelty of history in a way that is so alarming and it’s still happening today,” said Francine Agapoff, who is overseeing the development of high school curriculum, which she hopes school districts throughout the Bay Area will adopt and use to educate students. Agapoff and her team members are designing the curriculum to help students learn history, social studies and even English “through the lens of human rights,” she said. |
