Carson to host third annual Ready to Learn Fun Fair

From the Globe Education Desk

The third annual Ready to Learn Fun Fair, hosted by Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rosa Parks Elementary School, located at 920 Allston Way in Berkeley.
The free event will provide an opportunity for children to read, color, play outside and experience learning in a fun environment. Parents will have the chance to learn about educational programs, support services, child care, nutrition, sports activities and much more.
As in previous years, Clifford the Big Red Dog will be present.
Everyone attending will be entered into a raffle with a chance to win free family passes to the Oakland Zoo, Habitot Children’s Museum, the Lawrence Hall of Science, Chabot Space and Science Center and other fun places.
The event is co-hosted by First 5, Every Child Counts and KQED.
For more information, call Mateo Reyes at (510) 268-5376, or visit www.acgov.org/board/district5.
